Try reading the TypeCon program guide after three Bourbon Street hand grenade cocktails, wait for Apple to standardize the color bitmap font format used in OS X Lion’s emoji implementation, or support Adam Twardoch’s call to add SVG font support in OpenType. SVG support would enable color and animated glyphs in standard OpenType fonts.
