TypeCon & SOTA Scholarship for TypeParis24

TypeCon and the Society of Typographic Aficionados are proud to announce the 5th edition of our scholarship program to TypeParis24—an incredible six-week typographic summer intensive in Paris, France.

Previous winners of the TypeCon Scholarship include Olga Vasik, Aline Yoshimatsu, Andrea Hayek and Quỳnh Hương Nguyen! This summer, scholarship winner Dana Al Assir will join fourteen fellow students in the heart of the city for 340 hours of immersive education in type design, lettering, and calligraphy—on us! This year’s intensive will take place from June 4th to July 12th, 2024.

TypeParis24 instructors include Jean François Porchez (founder of TypeParis), Mathieu Réguer, Marc Rouault, Gina Serret, Julie Soudanne, and Malou Verlomme. Special sessions are planned with Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer and Georg Seifert from Glyphs. The weekly international guest critics are Sláva Jevčinová, Ruggero Magrì, Henrik Kubel, Krista Radoeva. In addition to classroom time, students will have opportunities to participate in field research trips and special sessions, free access to the one day conference, and seek critique from a variety of international experts.
