The TypeCon Silent Auction Needs Your Typographic Treasures
One of the most anticipated events of TypeCon is the annual Society of Typographic Aficionados silent auction — raising funds for SOTA’s educational and community activities. We’re looking for donations of typographic treasures, trinkets, and tchotchkes — think of it as a way to clear space on your shelves for new typographic treats — all in support a great cause.If you have something to donate, please email auction@typesociety.org with the following information:
- Name/title/description
- Author/publisher/designer
- Estimated value
- An exciting blurb or personal anecdote about the item (optional)
- A photo of the item (optional)
If you’re attending TypeCon2014, bring your donation with you to the Hyatt Regency Washington and drop it off at the SOTA Store. If you can’t attend the conference, but would still like to donate items, please send us an email to receive the official scoop on how to ship us your treasures.SOTA is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
