Special Curator Tour — A Thousand Years of the Persian Book Exhibition

With the generous help of Nahid Tootoonchi, the Society of Typographic Aficionados is pleased to offer TypeCon2014 attendees a curator tour of A Thousand Years of the Persian Book — an exhibition that explores a millennium of Persia’s rich literary tradition, with materials ranging from illuminated manuscripts to contemporary publications.Library of CongressJefferson Building, 2nd Floor101 Independence Ave SEWashington, DC 20540We are organizing tours from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 31st and Friday, August 1st. Space is limited to 15 people per tour. Please contact us by email to register for the day of your choice.Transportation to the Library of Congress is not provided for these tours. It is approximately 30 minutes to walk or 10 minutes by cab from the Hyatt. Plan your travel accordingly, as the tours will start at 1:00 pm sharp.
