Making Faces at TypeCon

When Rich Kegler needed to raise some extra cash to finish his documentary on the work of the late, great Jim Rimmer, he avoided the traditional paths involving loan sharks or Veer sponsorship. Instead he used Kickstarter with the hope of raising $3,000 to complete the film. The response from friends, colleagues, and the typorati was overwhelming — with over $12,000 raised. With that in mind, many of those attending tonight’s world premiere of Making Faces: Metal Type in the 21st Century will not only be viewers but also investors.
