Berlowese Quantized

Font Bureau employee, Nick Sherman, kicked off his talk today with an insight into the forum posting style of his boss, David Berlow. Acknowledging what most Typophile readers already knew... “Berlowese” is somewhat difficult to understand. Nick described the process by which David writes his posts. He may go through twelve or more iterations, perhaps requiring the post to be read in a “southern accent” to get the point across. The results can be somewhat cryptic, but not totally indecipherable. At least one person can translate Berlowese into English, that person being Kent Lew, who has studied the language over many years working with David.
