Coming Soon: Hamilton Documentary

Many of the colorful characters who crafted type at the Hamilton Manufacturing Company are still alive and living peacefully in the quiet hamlet of Three Rivers, Wisconsin. TypeCon’s AV guru, J.P. has interviewed some of these retirees and plans to produce a new documentary* about their lives and work. This morning attendees were treated to a promo of the upcoming film "Character Study: Documenting the Last Hamilton Wood Type Cutters." Keep an eye out for the Kickstarter project, coming August 1 and watch the promo on YouTube.

*Not to be confused with Typeface the inspiring remake of West Side Story where a group of scrappy teenagers form their own letterpress studio after visiting the museum.
